CIANJ honors Businesses for Best Practices

Paramus, NJ – The Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) and COMMERCE Magazine welcomed business leaders this week to the 4th Annual Best Practices Conference saluting innovation in the workplace.

More than 150 executives participated in the conference which featured speeches from Don Sebastian, president of the New Jersey Innovation Institute; Peggy Boyce, president of Ladies of Laughter, Inc.; and Tim Hogan, president of Bayshore Hospital, which is part of the Hackensack Meridian healthcare system.

Best Practices Awards were given to company and business leaders selected by a blue-ribbon panel of judges assembled by CIANJ. The association represents more 900 corporate members and works to advance free market principles.

CIANJCOMMERCE Magazine Editor Miles Epstein asked business executives to share thoughts on the winning strategies they use to distinguish their businesses in the marketplace. Their comments were compiled into the Best Practices Guide. This year’s edition contained advice from 100 chief-executive-officers, managing partners and business owners. The guide also featured comments from industry leaders who were showcased in earlier issues of COMMERCE Magazine. These industry leaders were also honored at the conference.

Among the winning entries was Decusoft CEO, Bob Laurenzo, who discussed his firm’s proprietary implementation method and white glove customer service. “We don’t just make software; we add measurable business value,” said Laurenzo. “For us, it’s about delivering a superior product and the exceptional people that come with it.
